Staten Island University Hospital rehabilitation programs include a full array of services for pediatric and brain injury patients.
Acute rehabilitation is designed for individuals who need frequent physician monitoring, 24-hour nursing and intensive physical, occupational and/or speech therapy to maximize recovery. The length of stay is based on your diagnosis, needs and progress during rehabilitation.
Orthopaedic conditions, including total hip and knee replacements and hip fractures
Neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, encephalopathy, polyneuropathy, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, mylopathy, radiculopathy, Guillain-Barré syndrome and ALS
Spinal cord injury
